About Lola

I was most excited about finding my place in college and experiencing independence for the first time. I loved the idea of managing my own schedule and taking full responsibility for my day-to-day life. I was also looking forward to the wide range of academic resources available at WSU and the opportunities they would open up for me.

I attended summer orientation, and it was a really fun and memorable experience. I connected quickly with my orientation leader and the other students in my group, which made the experience feel welcoming and comfortable. One of my favorite moments was the evening karaoke session, where everyone joined in and had a great time—especially when my OL choreographed a dance and led us in singing Let It Go from Frozen. Experiences like that made it easy to feel connected and excited about starting college.

Currently, I am a Zoology Pre-Veterinary major and stay very involved on and off campus. I volunteer at the on-campus veterinary hospital and the local humane society while also working as an Orientation Leader, a lifeguard, and a farm hand. In addition, I spend time in a genetics and engineering research lab and hold leadership roles in both the Country Swing Dancing Club and the Pre-Veterinary Club. These experiences have helped me grow academically, professionally, and personally while exploring my passion for animal science and veterinary medicine.
