Spring Orientation

What is Spring New Coug Orientation?

New Coug Orientation is a required program for all new students attending spring semester. Before you arrive for Spring Orientation, you’ll take part in pre-orientation learning modules and meet virtually with an academic advisor to register for classes.

During your one day orientation program you will view college and department presentations and, learn about student life and campus resources. You will be placed in a small group of other New Cougs guided by an orientation counselor who is a current WSU student. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, make new friends, and fully immerse yourself in being a Coug in Pullman.

***If attending our Spring Orientation session, be prepared to move in to your residence hall or apartment before orientation begins. Unlike Summer Orientation, no supplemental housing will be available for Fall Orientation.

Spring Family and Supporter Opportunities

Families and supporters will be unable to attend Spring New Coug Orientation alongside their student, however we invite you to join us for virtual orientation sessions that address the family role in supporting students at WSU.

Families and supporters accompanying their student to campus for move-in are encouraged to participate in a campus tour. If you are looking for accommodations while assisting your New Coug with move-in, you can explore the many hotel options in the area by visiting our travel information website.
