About Stephanie

I was excited to start a new chapter at WSU, but I also had some worries. As an independent student, I was especially concerned about how I would manage paying for college and balancing work with my coursework. I was also nervous about making friends since I didn’t know anyone coming in. Overall, I felt a mix of excitement and uncertainty as I adjusted to a completely new environment and tried to find my place.

My orientation experience helped ease many of those concerns. It gave me a better understanding of the resources available to support me, particularly around finances and academics, and helped me feel more confident about navigating college life. I also had the opportunity to meet other students and start building connections, which made campus feel more welcoming right away. By the end of orientation, I felt much more prepared and excited to begin my time at WSU.

I am currently a Business Economics major with a minor in Geospatial Analysis. On campus, I am involved in Kappa Delta Chi and serve on the CAHNRS For All committee, both of which have helped me build community and stay engaged. I also work at the Academic Success and Career Center, where I support students in their academic and professional development. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in business administration with a focus on data analytics and eventually continue my education by earning a master’s degree in Economics.
