About Boone

Before coming to WSU, I was excited to finally be on campus, meet new people, and get involved in student organizations. Although WSU was not far from home for me, it still felt like the start of a new adventure. Many students from my hometown also chose to attend WSU, which made the transition feel both familiar and exciting. I looked forward to building new friendships, exploring campus, and making the most of my college experience.

My orientation experience was relaxed and welcoming. My orientation leader did a great job of sharing important information while also creating opportunities for us to connect with other students. The balance between learning about campus resources and getting to know new people helped me feel comfortable and prepared for the year ahead. One of the best parts of orientation was meeting someone who would later become one of my good friends, making the experience even more memorable.

Today, I am a Social Studies Education major working toward becoming a high school teacher. I am actively involved in the Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU), which has allowed me to develop leadership skills and connect with the campus community. Through my experiences at WSU, I have grown both personally and professionally while preparing for a career in education. After graduation, I hope to begin teaching and spend more time traveling while continuing to learn from new experiences.
