About Cora

I’m originally from Yakima, which isn’t too far but I was still excited to get away from home and explore moving into adulthood at WSU. I was nervous about finding both friends and ways to get involved on-campus where I’d feel like I fit and finding a ‘home away from home.’ Financial aid was also a huge stressor for me, but I made sure to apply for the WSU General Scholarship application.

Orientation made me feel at home at WSU and like I had a better understanding of the community and resources that were available on-campus. My OL made us all feel included and helped us find a community, which inspired me to want to become an OL in the future. It was a very positive experience for me, and important for my transition into college life.

I was originally a Social Sciences major concentrating in History and English, and after a couple of adjustments I lansed on pursuing a dual degree in Anthropology and History, Pre-Law, and I’m hoping if I have time to tack on a minor in War and Society through the History program. My first year I was a Firsr Floor Representative in my residence hall (Regents), and currently I’m Secretary of the newly formed Forensic Science Club. I also work at the Joran Schnitzer Museum of Art on-campus as a Visitor Ambassador. When I graduated I plan to apply to Graduate school.
