About Ember

Before coming to WSU, I was nervous about being away from home and making new friends. While I was excited to start college, leaving my comfort zone and adjusting to a new environment felt a little intimidating.

My orientation experience helped ease those worries. Meeting other students and learning more about campus made me feel more confident about finding my place at WSU and building new connections.

Today, I am highly involved on campus and a member of the Honors College. Through the drama club, I have had the opportunity to direct three productions, which has helped me grow as a leader and build lasting friendships. Looking ahead, I am considering pursuing a master’s degree in counseling.
