About Ethan
I was excited because orientation marked my first real step into becoming a college student. It felt like the beginning of a new chapter, where I would start gaining independence, meeting new people, and experiencing everything that comes with college life.
Although it was long and very hot, it was a valuable experience for me. It gave me the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone, meet new people, and begin building connections that would carry into the school year. It also helped me become more familiar with campus resources and what to expect as a college student.
After my first semester at WSU, I changed my major from engineering to Management Information Systems (MIS) after discovering my interest in the intersection of business and technology. Since then, I’ve been actively involved as President of the MIS Club, where I help create opportunities for students to build skills, connect with professionals, and explore careers in tech and business. I also work with WSU Student Affairs Marketing and Communications, creating content for campus events and campaigns, which has strengthened my creativity and professional experience.
