About Lillian

My biggest fear was moving away from home. Growing up in a military family, I moved all around the world, but I always had my family with me. This time was different because I was truly on my own, and that made the transition feel much more intimidating. However, after meeting people during orientation and connecting with my roommate during move-in, I started to see how WSU could become my new home.

My orientation experience was a highlight of my transition to college. It was fun, welcoming, and full of opportunities to meet new people and start building connections before classes even began. One of the most meaningful parts of orientation was meeting someone who is now my best friend. Getting to know so many people in such a supportive environment helped ease my nerves and made me feel more comfortable stepping into this new chapter. By the end of the experience, I felt much more confident and excited to start my life at WSU.

Now, I work for WSU as an Orientation Leader and am also more involved in my academic program as a CAHNRS Ambassador. These roles have helped me grow as a leader and give back to the same community that supported me when I first arrived. After graduation, I plan to get married and begin my career teaching agriculture, continuing my passion for helping others learn and grow.
