About Nazareth

Before orientation, I was most nervous about change. Starting at Washington State University felt like such a big transition, and I was worried about adjusting to a completely new environment. I was especially nervous about finances and finding my people. I worried about balancing school and work while also trying to make friends and find a community where I felt like I belonged. Now, I’m doing much better because I have a job that helps support me, and I’ve found a great community of people who make me feel welcomed and supported.

I attended La Bienvenida, and it was a really good experience. It made me feel much more excited and prepared for this next chapter at Washington State University. Even though the transition to college felt a little overwhelming at first, orientation helped me feel more comfortable and confident about starting school. My family also felt more at ease after attending, especially seeing the welcoming community and support available. The experience and the energy from the orientation leaders made such a positive impact on me that it inspired me to apply to become an OL so I could help future students feel the same excitement and encouragement.

Right now, I am majoring in Architectural Studies at Washington State University, and I hope to minor in Construction as well. If I get the opportunity, I would also love to continue my education and earn a master’s degree in Architecture. My goal is to build a career where I can design residential homes and create spaces that positively impact people’s lives.
