About Amber

Amber came to WSU to study in one of the few viticulture and enology programs in the country. She loves winemaking, and says, “I can’t quite place my finger on what exactly about it is so awesome. It feels like an art form as well as a science, and it’s something that so many people can enjoy.” Her favorite class so far has been VE 113: Introduction to Vines and Wines. It taught her a lot about winemaking. If you’re at all interested in winemaking, it’s a fun class.

Amber suggests trying to take things slowly when you first start college. You’re gonna get a lot of stuff thrown at you immediately, and it’s okay to take your time with all of it. Focus on building your community – your friends are here and waiting to meet you! She quickly realized WSU is safe and special, and she’s glad she came all the way from Pennsylvania. Her favorite Friday activity is going to Nuthouse Improv Comedy Shows in Butch’s Den with friends. It’s pretty fun to attend and you don’t have to go every week.
