About Leia

Leia plans to pursue a career as a chemistry teacher after graduation this year. Surprisingly, she says her favorite class was English 302: Introduction to English Studies. The professor really helped her to figure out who she is as a person and a writer with the assignments. The faculty are always willing to answer questions and, they are always kind and understanding. Leia knows it might be a bit daunting at first, but talking to your professors is the key to success. They want to help you do the best you can!

Leia found the most valuable aspect of her New Coug Orientation was getting to know some of the OC’s. They were her first look at what the student body was like on campus, and they made her feel like she was in the right place. When asked to reflect on her transfer experience, she feels it has been great!
