About Marian

Marian shared, “I applied to be an OC because I want to make new Cougs feel excited and supported in their transition. OC’s are the first people new Cougs will look to as a mentor, so I want every student I come across to feel welcome and confident in their ability to find a place at WSU.”  Choosing classes, meeting peers, staying in a dorm, and walking campus at New Coug Orientation allowed her to get a feel of what her new home would be like before move-in.

Her favorite place on campus is the Compton Union Building, also known as the CUB. There are many resources available here such as academic and social spots. When she wants to study she goes to the CUB’s quiet lounge, but when she wants to socialize she goes to the 4th floor, home of different student centers. The CUB is also where clubs set up tables that give out free merch or food and host cool events. Marian says you can’t miss the PB&J club’s weekend sandwich handouts!
