About Michaela

As an out-of-state student, Michaela chose WSU because of the sense of independence. She wanted to explore different environments throughout the west coast by herself. Pullman was the perfect location — close enough to go home, but far enough to explore on her own. Michaela took exploring independence one steps further and studied abroad this past fall in Auckland, New Zealand. While at the University of Auckland, she took an ecology course, focusing on the ecology of New Zealand and its incredible bird species and populations.

Michaela became an OC to help new Cougs embrace their newfound independence and share her love for making the most of campus life through getting involved and utilizing resources. You might find her in Beasley Coliseum watching a women’s basketball game or Martin Stadium at a football game. Say “hi!” She’s happy to answer new Cougs’ questions.
