About Rutu

When Rutu did her orientation, she said it felt so surreal; she loved how interactive and engaging the Orientation Counselors were, and she loved getting to hear about the available resources before even getting to campus. Since getting to WSU, Rutu said that living on campus helped her to bridge the gap as a new student in a new environment. She got to meet so many people and make valuable friendships, and she didn’t have to worry about commuting because she was already on campus.

When Rutu isn’t working as an OC, you can catch her in her favorite building on campus, the CUB! She spends her most free time at the CUB in the International Center where she can de-stress, catch up with friends and play on the switch! A tip of advice from Rutu is, “it is always okay to ask for help, whether that be from a professor, faculty member, or a stranger on campus, there’s always at least one person who went through something similar to you and are willing to help you figure things out!”

We hope you love Rutu as much as we do!
