About Sam P.

Sam chose to attend WSU because she wanted to remain in Washington, but she also wanted to experience moving away from home and being on her own. She credits living on campus her first year with supporting her in making friends and balancing classes, getting food, and working out. Her favorite class was Introduction to Psychology because it helped her to learn more about the field and confirm Psychology was the right major for her.

In her time at WSU, Sam has been involved in Invest in Cougs to support fellow Cougs in persisting towards graduation. Her passion for working with students influenced her decision to be an OC. Orientation is a great way to get a glimpse of life on campus and start to make connections with peers. She encourages new Cougs to go to all the Week of Welcome events and resource fairs as they are a great way to continue making connections.
