Student Matriculation Fee: $250
This one-time fee can be paid immediately upon registration for orientation programs or you can have it charged to your student account and can be paid along with tuition at the beginning of your first semester.
The matriculation fee covers services and programs for new students including orientation/registration programs, Week of Welcome activities, and extended orientation events. Also included during each orientation program are meals, give-away items (such as t-shirts and pens), university publications, and parking permits for the duration of the program.
To ensure that the matriculation fee will be automatically covered by your financial aid funds, authorize financial aid to pay all changes in your myWSU account.
How to Authorize Financial Aid Coverage of Charges:
Family & Supporter Orientation fees cannot be billed to the student account. They must be paid no later than at time of the student’s orientation program.

This fee covers university publications received from the program, workshop presentations, staffing, and other program costs. More information to come!
For a FULL REFUND, you must call to cancel your reservation at least 5 business days before the orientation program you were registered for.
You will receive a PARTIAL REFUND if you call to cancel after the 5 business day deadline. A $70.00 administrative fee will be assessed against your refund total.
NO REFUND will be given if you do not call to cancel your reservation or if you cancel the on the day the program starts. Refunds for opting out of overnight accommodations cannot be granted unless requested 5 business days prior to session check-in.
NO REFUND will be given if you participate in the program and then decide to not attend WSU.
