Online Orientation

What is Online New Coug Orientation?

New Coug Orientation is a required program for ALL new students. We understand coming to campus can be an investment of time and money for families and, new Cougs often visit for Experience WSU (optional), New Coug Orientation (required), and Move-In (required).

For the best orientation experience, we still highly recommend in-person orientation, however; students who meet the following criteria are eligible to complete the New Coug Orientation requirement online:

  • Confirmed enrollment for summer or fall 2026.
  • Attended an Experience WSU event in spring 2026 and participated in one of the New Coug Orientation breakout sessions.
  • Unable to attend an in-person June or July orientation due to work, finances, and/or distance.

Online Orientation does not include Family & Supporter Orientation programming and guests cannot be accommodated. Supporters of students attending online orientation sessions are encouraged to take advantage of the summer webinar series.

Online Orientation Dates

  • Tuesday, June 16
  • Wednesday, July 8
  • Tuesday, August 4

Registration will be available in your FutureCoug Portal AFTER you successfully attend an Experience WSU event.
